S y n o p s i s  a n d   b a c k g r o u n d 

Universe VS voyage period – 

Like when human discovered the new land, the universe is full of adventurers. And there was a sport of the universe which solves the curiosity of the unknown world!

Robo-Rally –

The best adventure sports of the universe is the Robo-Rally. Drivers from all over universe compete against each other in different planets with their best machines to become the rally king. Nobody has ever been to the last stage planet so nobody knows the outcome.
The rally history’s been over 100 years now and becoming the ‘rally king’ is everyone’s dream and hope. A 14 year old boy Janggo believes in his racing machine Kaistan and goes to the rally without fear. 

Janggo and Kaistan – 

Janggo grows up not knowing that he is the son of Rally King [Blurhell] who was known as the warrior from hell. Janggo must have the driver’s genes in his blood, he loves [Kaistan] the rally machine, which is the only remain from his father. He grows up wildly enthusiastic about racing and he goes frantically wild if it’s anything about the rally. But when this enthusiasm leads to danger, Janggo’s mother tries to stop him by destroying Kaistan. She does not want him to grow up to be like his father who had a bad reputation. Janggo cannot stay apart from Kaistan so he hides into a spaceship shuttle and heads towards the rally.

He meets Dr.Tech and his daughter Sorrie, who approves Janggo’s skill. He gets a naughty navigator Tinggo and goes to the rally. There are so many other people who are skillful, but Janggo is not scared at all. He has all the confidence in the world. But there’s one person who stops his heart, Ez. She’s a beautiful woman who is finding her lost lover in the rally.

Janggo dreams that he’ll be a rally king and propose to Ez and he starts the engine to Kaistan. There are so many dangerous traps and fights. And Evil guy Suga who tries to bring Janggo down.
Janggo goes step and step further with his passion for the rally and his passion for Ez. But because of Suga his identity is discovered. Everybody finds out that he’s the son of Blood hell, the warrior from hell. Because of this, he gets to known by everybody as a low-life driver.
He has a shock because of this and gets shaken a little, but he loves racing and realizes the true meaning of the rally and goes to the rally again.
Janggo finds out that Phantom, who has been like a God in the rally, is the disappeared hero [love] and that he’s the fiancé of his love, Ez.
When the best driver [love] realizes that he cannot race anymore after to the accident, he makes himself half android to race in the rally with the name phantom.
He ignores his fiancé who tries to stop him and goes forward to clear each stage.

The last stage… can Janggo really beat Phantom who has even sold his soul to win the rally and win his dream and love?

Janggo realizes at the last stage that the real victory is not the high tech machine or the perfect technique. The real victory is believing in yourself and racing with a pure passion.

<Robo-Rally>
 Robo-Rally has the motto ‘Faster, stronger and better’, which is the final objective of a robot. Robo-Rally is made of course that tests out all the performance of a robot. The rule is that you have to come back as fast as you can by breaking though obstacles. You may have contacts with other robots but you can ‘t use weapons.
 
<Competition rules>
 The competition is managed by <Robo executive office> and they select the stating point, the finishing point and the tasks. The pilots operates the machine, the navigator plans out strategies about the course and the completion of the tasks and the repairing team prepares for the breakdown of the robot that might happen. 
 The competition is held over one or two days but usually don’t go over 2 days. The competitors get points depending on the results of the game and are ranked first to last. After all the games are finished, we will choose the final winner using the total.

Robo-Rally performs in <Alpha City>, which is the place of origin, <Omega City>, which is the biggest rival of Alpha City and in other cities. The competition is mainly held on those cities where robot creators put the basis on. These days there are competition among cities and also are carrying out <World Rally>, which is the competition for the best players of the each city.

<Alpha City>
 
Alpha City is a traditional robot city and in the city there is <Monsking Company>, <Robo-Rally association office> and many other companies. This city has facilities for producing robots such as <Skunk Team> that the main character <Chun-doong> is in, <Sharpsa>, which has incredible skill at electronics, machine parts factory, metal factory and electronic good factories that provides machine parts to the Sharpsa.
 
The city’s population is about 50 thousand and various robot factories are situated around the public square. There are courses for rally at the edge of the city. Uncommonly, alpha city has its factories underground. So if you look at the outside, it looks like a small industrial town but inside there are huge robot producing facilities. There are several backgrounds such as mountain, desert, valley, volcanic area and jungle near Alpha City and it has the most suitable environment for a rally course.
 
<Omega City>
 
It is a rising robot city and has ultramodern buildings and massive factories. There are various kinds of environment near it and it equips social indirect capital facilities such as residents, power plants and harbors that are designed to fit the environment perfectly. There is a sea on the left and <Omega Technique Company>, which is the biggest rival with the Monsking group at the edge of the city.

<Beta City>
 
Beta City where electronic industry is well developed has a special landscape. The mankind found the remains of ancient human races called <Abalone> and was amazed at the pleasant environment. So they make it a place of residence………
If you go along the tunnel from the <Crater Lake> and you will reach a huge underground <Beta City> after a long time. If you go deeper through the tunnels, the <Abalone Remains> appears.
 
<Crater Lake>
 
The crater was made by the crash with the earth 30 years ago. Its radius is 20 km and depth is 3 km. It looks similar with the crater lake, Chungi on Paekdusan. It was suppose to be where 3 rivers meet at one spot but now it has become a big waterfall. The floor of the crater has become a lake.
 
<The Lava Valley>
 
It is also known as Valley of Intrigue and lava flows along the valley. Now it’s used as a natural rubbish-incinerating place and there is a huge dump of rubbish near vally. 
 
<Barbell Tower> 
 
This orbiting elevator top has begun to construct when Robo-Rally was born. But the continuous accidents and misfortune befallen on people concerned with the construct team maybe caused by the fury of the gods, and the construction finally came to a stop. The huge tower always looks dreary.

Robot module – Robot + Carrier
Generally, we can divide into two groups, i.e. <Robot> that takes in charge of the function and <Pilot> that takes in charge of moving. They usually move in a combined form but they separate and change its looks by transforming when needed.
 
Robot- Robot is formed with <Cockpit and engine> that pilot rides, and <Arms and Legs> that performs the various functions. The ability to break through difficult obstacle is incredible. 
Basic module – Engine (Fuel batteries + electrical motor) + Cockpit (Operation + Electrical control) 
Driving module – Leg, wheel, jet booster, rocket booster, water jet, propeller and motor.
Functional module – Arm, weapons, detecting equipment, tools and special equipment etc.
 
Carrier – It is transformed from robot and it drives on land and sea. There is also carrier formation that has the ability to fly in the sky.
Robot’s fuel is <Hydrogen fuel > and hydrogen is used two ways. 
 One use is to provide electricity using <Fuel Batteries>’s fuel. The electricity is transmitted to each motor and provides power for every functional structure.
 The hydrogen fuel is also used as a powerful <Booster fuel for hovering engine and driving engine>. Hydrogen fuel is stored in safely compressed cassette, and it can be easily exchanged anywhere and anytime. Also it’s not dangerous even though it breaks down. 

<Thunder 5>
 
Legendary robot creator “X” created this robot for robot rally. After X planned thunder I, he made it into a thunder II for robot rallying use and participated in the robot rally with it. But he became missing because of plots by Monsking. After few years, uncle Tae-Po gets the design drawing of thunder robot by chance. He built thunder V basing on this..

<Omega 1 robot>
 
<Omega mechanic company> from omega city created this robot and the pilot is chairman’s son ‘Lion’. Omega 1 has image of refinement and grand and it has various abilities like its image. It has rivalry relations with thunder V but they are also good friends.

<Alpha Monsking>
 
The robot realizes the dark plot of Monsking to try to control the robot industry through Robo-Rally and manufacture robots for battling. It equips powerful motor and shows the know-how of motor design. 
 
Its exterior special feature is the clear sight of two powerful motors. It is bigger than other normal company’s robot so it consumes energy a lot. 

c h a r a c t e r s 

Chun-doong (Male, 12 years old)

A cartoon-like character is described by “Friendship, hope, victory and laugh”. He is the son of legendary robot creator ‘X’ and after his father was killed by Monsking group, he builds robot himself working as a secondhand dealer. One day, he joins the skunk team by saving Uncle Tae Po from the team who was in a disaster during the Robo-Rally. 

Lion (Male, 12 years old)

He is a genius pilot and he loves “Cool robot, cool opponent and the worst course”. He represents Omega City and is a grandson of chairman of ‘Daum’ Robot Company. He is tall, handsome, cool-headed and rational but a bit awkward towards love. He was rival with Chun-Doong at the start but their relations develop into friendship.

Na Tae Po (Male 45 years old)

He is a “Broken brake about robot”, Skunk team’s president, engineer and pilot. He leads the skunk team with reckless plans and strong promotion. He is a stylish 40’s who never compromise with injustice. But he is fastidious. 

Nari (Female 12 years old)

She is a “Girl of F (Future) generation”, Skunk teams navigator and person in charge for planning the tools.
Appearance --She looks cute and lively.. She has big hands and legs comparing other girls’. She especially feels inferior complex at her thick thumb. 
Special features -- She often fights with her mother. She has a sanguine temperament like her dad, and she is the queen of misconception and jealousy. 
Monsking (Male 60 years old)

He is a “Greedy and evil dictator who has a dream of covering the world with Monsking robots.” He is also a big businessman who leads the world’s best robot company <Monsking group>.

Jorbal (Male, 18 years old)

He is a Monsking company’s pilot. “I am pursuing only victory… I am this kind of person.”. He is a Monsking’s small incarnation. He is ready to do any fouls and does anything to win. He was raised by Spartan training and medical drugs. He is known as a splendid player to the public but he has a treacherous personality. He usually acts in Alpha City.
