Synopsis:

A deaf girl (Anastasia) joins a traveling circus.  It is a strange circus in a barren world.

She cares for the circus animals and silently watches the bizarre performers. She is lonely and isolated, but she has one friend, a gypsy musician (Alexander). When her only friend looses his soul in a game of cards, he dies. Or so it seems.

Ana makes a bargain with a magician (The Tattooed Man) to enter the dream world and rescue Alexander’s soul.  She must accomplish this before Alexander is buried the next morning.

In the dream world Ana is transformed into one of the circus animals she loves. For the first time in her life, she can hear…and she can sing.  The dream world is a psychedelic kingdom where thoughts become objects and objects become sounds.  It is a world where the past and the future are superimposed.  It can be insane and dangerous and dark…and it is filled with color, brilliance and joy.
